If you are not comfortable with the gym or with aggressive fitness classes
....then Nia could be for you.
Do you love moving to music but don't want complex steps ?
Would you like to begin to move your body in ways which ease out all those kinks and get your heart rate up
- but without you noticing - its so pleasurable ?
Nia is a worldwide mindful fitness genre - over 40 years - spread by word of mouth and bucking todays current trend for 'mind-LESS' boot camp fitness
- its all about awareness, loving your body, building ease and empowerment but also is massively effective for fitness, cardio etc but you just don't notice it.
Nia is for every body - any age - or fitness level - we alll move together and the teacher will guide you in moving in your range and for your goals.
We do get sweaty - but it doesn't feel like you are 'beating your body up' - and the music is amazing - not your droning 'dance beats' but a variety from world music, evocative, jazzy, instrumental, classical, vocals and latin rhythms.
Ideally we move barefoot - but clean soft trainers or gripper socks with toes are also options though
Wear loose clothes and bring water.

HOW TO FIND THE CLASS AND WHERE TO PARK
The Yoga Hall 11 Hatfield Road | St Albans | AL1 3RR
We are less than 200 metres from St Peters Street in the centre of St Albans. There are many bus routes close to us and we are about 10 minutes walk from St Albans Railway Station (which is 20 minutes by rail from St Pancras, London https://www.thetrainline.com/).
You may be able to find street parking in the local area within a few minutes walk, or you can use the Bricket Road NCP car park, less than 2 minutes from The Yoga Hall.
We have railings where you can securely lock your bicycle right outside our front door.
(There is a small car park at the back of The Yoga Hall that can be accessed from Essex Street and Clifton Street. We share the car park with local businesses, so it can ONLY be used on Sundays or AFTER 6:30pm Monday to Saturday).
